There are no VaT refund smartphone products on the Irish market. 85% of Americans now use a smartphone, compared with 23% in 2010 – the year Fexco’s Horizon card was launched.

Tourists lose or forget cards and paper forms. Tourists have to queue for a kiosk or Customs at the airport.

It consumes retailers’ time and effort to provide VaT-back cards and paper forms. The cards are old tech and have to integrate with till systems.
